The Elijah Project
Facilitating the Return of the House of Israel

A letter from Rabbi Yoel Schwartz and the Rabbis from the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem:

A request directed to anyone who is able to assist in furthering the fulfillment of a very important mitzvah.

We are witnessing the fulfillment of the prophecy "And I will send a famine in the land, not hunger for food and not thirst for water but (a yearning) to hear the word of G-d".

In the wider world a revolution is occurring. Many non-Jews have abandoned their former religion and are seeking the truth.  A movement of "Benai Noach" has begun in various countries.  It is essential that we try to assist this development.

We the undersigned request the assistance of anyone who is able to help in this very important undertaking by ... :

A) The establishment of academic frameworks in the Diaspora in which non-Jews will be able to study fundamentals of their required faith.  This refers both to the theological principles that they are required to accept and to the practical application of the seven Noachide laws and the additional obligations which apply to them.

B) Creating frameworks like an open university that will enable students to take correspondence courses in these subjects.

C) Establishing an institution in the Holy Land for teaching these subjects and securing academic recognition for courses in the above-mentioned subject matter including the possibility for obtaining a degree in it.  Such an institution could function as a site where such courses will be given to participants who will come here for that purpose and/or as the sponsor of the above-mentioned correspondence courses.
